This event is Week 2 of the 509 Summer Classic. The traditional 509 Summer Classic tournament is held the week prior. For details, visit: 509 Summer Classic – $25K Total Prize Money

The Dink Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) is one of the fastest-growing competitive team formats in the country, bringing MLP-style team competition to amateur players.

Teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) compete together in a unique format that blends traditional doubles play with exciting team strategy, momentum swings, and high-energy finishes.

MLPlay™ Format

Each team match consists of four 21-point games:

• Women’s Doubles
• Men’s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

If teams are tied 2–2, the match is decided by a DreamBreaker™ — a rotating singles tiebreaker where players switch every four rallies until one team reaches 21 points and wins by two.

DreamBreakers are one of the most exciting finishes in pickleball, combining strategy, pressure, and team momentum.

Rules

DUPR Divisions

Divisions are determined by the combined DUPR rating of all four players on the team.

  • DUPR 22 – Team aggregate must not exceed 22.9
  • DUPR 20 – Team aggregate must not exceed 20.9

  • DUPR 18 – Team aggregate must not exceed 18.9

  • DUPR 16 – Team aggregate must not exceed 16.9

  • DUPR 14 – Team aggregate must not exceed 14.9

  • DUPR 12 – Team aggregate must not exceed 12.9

Once a team registers for a Minor League Pickleball event, team ratings are locked. Changes to a player’s DUPR after registration will not affect the team’s aggregate or division placement.

All players must have a DUPR account at the time of registration.

Unrated players may participate; however, their estimated rating must be verified by the tournament director.

Single Registrations

If you are registering individually but are already part of a team, please include your Team Name and DUPR Division in your registration.

Example:
Mad Drops – 18

If you would like to play but do not yet have a team, the tournament director will do their best to place you on a team.

Players who are not placed on a team will have their registration fees refunded.

Substitute Players

Teams needing a substitute player may:

• Edit their roster directly in Swish, or
• Submit substitute information to the tournament organizer

Substitute players may not cause the team’s aggregate DUPR to exceed the division maximum.
