Description
We are so excited to host Bullitt Training Center's very first pickleball tournament! We will be using all 12 (6 outdoor, 6 indoor) of Bullitt's pickleball courts. Jerry Bullitt's famous pulled pork sandwiches, snacks, and drinks will be offered for sale. Due to the anticipated heat in May, the Beginners, Seniors, Scrambler (no set partner; players rotate partners), and Mixed Doubles 51-65 (3.0-3.4) Intermediate divisions will be played on the indoor courts. All other divisions will be played on Bullitt's six (6) beautiful, brand new outdoor, designated pickleball courts. Please select the division you truly fit in; we want to prevent "sandbaggers!" Always go for the challenge! Sportsmanship is a MUST! Hopefully, we will not be combining divisions, but if we do (because one or more divisions have low registration), winners will be awarded based on the division they registered for. We will start with Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles will follow, and then the Mixed Doubles divisions will be last to start. As the tournament gets closer, start times for each division will be announced at a later date.
Rules
Refunds will be issued until 4-25-26, but, hopefully, you can find a replacement if you cannot play. PLEASE try to let the tournament director know a day or two before the tournament if you are sick or something unexpected comes up as your withdrawal will affect many other players and divisions.
***All matches will be traditional, sideout scoring -- play to 11 points, win by 1 point. However, if time is needed to complete the tournament on time, the tournament director has the discretion to switch scoring to RALLY scoring - play to 15 points, win by 1 point.
Match scores will not be reported to DUPR.
Note the following rules if rally scoring is used: The person serving will switch places with their partner (if that person's team wins a point) until the serve is lost. And, depending on the score, the person serving will serve from the even (right) or odd (left) side. A team does not have to be serving to win a match.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Please try to find a replacement if you cannot play and have to cancel. Refunds will be allowed until 4-25-26.
