WHAT ARE DUPR RATED FLEX LEAGUES?
Unlike fixed leagues, flex leagues allow you to play pickleball at the dates, times, and places that fit best within your schedule! DUPR Rated leagues have two additional benefits:
• Divisions are based on DUPR ratings
• Scores are submitted after each session. This means scores will be submitted more frequently and for much less than a tournament!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
• STL Pickleball will provide a schedule of games at the start of the season utilizing the Swish sports app. Teams work with their opponents to establish a date, time, and place to play.
• Teams are allotted 14 days to complete their games and submit scores.
• Sessions will overlap to allow for greater flexibility in scheduling. Summer Session I schedule is as follows:
○ Session 1 – July 7 – 20
○ Session 2 – July 14 – 27
○ Session 3 – July 21 – Aug 3
○ Session 4 – July 28 – Aug 10
○ Session 5 – Aug 4 – 17
○ Playoffs – Aug 18 -24
• It is acceptable to play opponents out of order as long as they are within the given timeframe.
• 1-week playoff at the end of the season.
• Any changes to the schedule due to extenuating circumstances are at STL Pickleball’s discretion. Please reach out as soon as possible so that we can accommodate as needed.
FORMAT
• Round Robin with up to 6 teams per division.
• 3 games played, each game to 15, win by 2. All 3 games will be played. In other words, this is not best of 3, but rather all 3 will count. You’re welcome to keep playing after to get the most out of your time, but the first 3 games will count towards the league games.
• The schedule will be available via the Swish sports app. Once games are completed, players will input the scores and verify via Swish. Scores will be submitted to DUPR by STL PIckleball once the games have been completed.
• Standings will also be available via Swish and will update as soon as scores are inputted.
Each session runs 5 weeks plus 1 week for playoffs – At the end of the season, the #1 and #2 teams will compete for 1st and 2nd place, #3 and #4 for 3rd and 4th, #5 and #6 for 5th and 6th, and so on depending on how many teams per league.

RULES
• STL Pickleball Flex Leagues will follow all USA Pickleball guidelines for play.
• All players understand that by playing in an STL Pickleball Flex League the scores will be submitted to DUPR, win or lose.
• The divisions are as follows and include Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Each player's DUPR ratings are considered at the time of registration. Please note, unlike Minor League Tournaments, the team's cumulative or average rating is not considered. Qualification for a division is based on each individual player's rating.
○ DUPR is ≤ 2.5.
○ DUPR is ≤2.9
○ DUPR is ≤3.4
○ DUPR is ≤3.9
○ DUPR is 4.0+
• If you do not have a DUPR rating you are welcome to sign up at whichever level you believe is appropriate. Once you play your first game and the scores are submitted, a DUPR rating will be established.
• If a player's DUPR rating increases beyond their division's threshold, they can finish out that season as scheduled. When registering for the next season they must move up to the appropriate division. Their rating is as of the date of registration.
• Each team will have a Captain who will be the main point of contact and will be certain scores are entered correctly into Swish.
• If a team does not show up at the scheduled time they will forfeit. It is up to the opposing team's discretion on how long they will wait for a late arrival. Please allow at least 15 minutes to account for traffic or other circumstances.
Communication with all teams and players can be conducted through Swish's chat feature. This is a convenient way to set up dates/times/places without sharing personal contact information.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
No refunds after 6/26/2024. The full cost of the league is refunded less the $5 Swish technology fee.
