SoCal Social Pickleball Tournament #2

Format:
-Set Partner Round Robin, each team will 7-8 games in a 3 hour time slot.
-One set to 11 win by 1, Switch ends of the court at first to 6 points.

Time Outs:
-One time out is allowed for each team during one game. Each time out will be 60 seconds. Announce score to opposing team so each team is in agreement when play resumes.

*We have to make sure that the events run smoothly and on time. We will appreciate your cooperation to stick to the designated time schedules, to avoid the premature halt of events that run over time.

How medals are awarded:
-First it will be decided on the number of wins. If that comes to a tie, then it will be on the number of overall points, if that also comes to a tie, it will be decided on head-to-head. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.

Rules:
-Franklin X-40 balls will be used. USAPA 2024 pickleball rules will be applied. Net serve is continuous play. Receivers must call OUT calls clearly and loudly in game. Announce scores loudly and clearly to ensure both teams are aware of the correct score.

COMBINED AGE BRACKETS:
-Some age divisions will likely be combined once registration closes, to ensure that each player gets the chance to play in a full round robin.

-In the event that an age group has been combined, we will still award medals to each team according to the age group entered. (So, if you are in a 50+ age group combined with an 8+ age group, you will still only be judged for medals against the other 50+ teams in your bracket).

-For divisions that are combined please be reminded that every game counts.

BRACKET CHANGES:
-Changes to the brackets may be made at the tournament's discretion before the start of the tournament. If there are any significant changes that will be made, we will be sure to notify all participants that will be affected.
