Format: The Dink Minor League Pickleball
Price: $85.00 / Player (must register and pay as a team)
Description
The Smashers Team Showcase is a team-based tournament played in the official Major League Pickleball (MiLP) format, designed for both new and experienced players.
Based on combined team DUPR rating (4 players total): 12s, 12s 40+, 14s, 14s 40+, 16s, 16s 40+, 18s, & 20s
Draws with 8 or more teams will receive $1000 for 1st place. DUPR 20s will receive $2000 for 1st place. Draws with less than 8 teams will have reduced prize money.
All players in a 40+ division must be 40 years or older.
Round-Robin play is scheduled for Saturday, while select teams based on round-robin results will make it to pool play on Sunday.
All players MUST have a DUPR account and will be required to sign the Smashers PBG waiver.

Rules
Format:
Minor League Pickleball is an innovative team competition where teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) compete against each other in an engaging format, with twists on traditional match-ups and scoring for games, matches, and tiebreakers.
Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MLPlay™ format:
MLPlay™ is an ingenious gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court. Team matches are composed of four 21-point games:

If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games are played, they’ll go to a Dreambreaker™!
In a Dreambreaker™, one person from each team plays singles against the other team’s player, switching players every four rallies until someone gets to 21 and wins by two points.

The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30
DUPR 14
The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30
DUPR 16
The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30
DUPR 18
The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30
DUPR 20
The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
Non-Rated players are assigned an estimated rating based on the division they have registered for. Ex. DUPR 12s=NR=3.0 DUPR 14s=NR=3.5 etc.
Substitute Players
A team that needs a player substitute can either:

Edit their team by signing into Swish and making the edits themselves, or

A player may submit the substitute player information directly to the tournament organizer.
Note: The substitute player’s DUPR may not cause the team’s aggregate to go over the maximum event aggregate.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellation Deadline:
To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee, cancellation must be received by the end of day local time 11:59 CST on May 23, 2026.
