Description
Get ready for the Smash-tember Showdown on the 21st! Join us for an exciting Round Robin tournament featuring Fixed Women’s Doubles, Fixed Mixed Doubles, Women’s Rotating Partners, and more Senior divisions than ever! Come out, compete, and have a blast on the courts!
Tentative Schedule:
Morning (8 am start)
Rotating Partners
Women’s 3.0, 3.25, 3.5, 4.0+
Senior Women’s 60+; up 3.0 & 3.5 +
Men’s 3.5+ & Senior Men’s 3.5+
Midday (11:30 am)
Women’s Fixed Partner Doubles
3.0, 3.5, 4.0+; Senior’s
Afternoon
Mixed Fixed Doubles
3.0 3.5 4.0 & Seniors 60+
If you are interested in possibly playing for free, email [email protected] to be an alternate for any of these events.
If you can’t play, but want to be part of the fun, email [email protected] to volunteer to be a court monitor or to help in other ways.
Rules
Tournament Format:
-Round Robin: 8 teams per division, with each team playing 7 games.
-Format: First to 11, win by 1.
-Switch Sides: Teams will switch sides at 6 points.
-Serve First: The "top" team on the Swish app serves first.
-Time Outs: One minute timeout per team per game
Rankings: The Swish app ranks teams based on wins/loss with ties broken by head-to-head results and point differential.
Pricing:
-Entry Fees: $40 pp for 1 event / $55 pp for 2 events.
-Member Discount: Seal Beach Pickleball Members receive $10 off with a code emailed to all members.
-Swish Admin Fee: An additional $5.00 fee will be added at checkout.
Facility:
-Courts: 16 permanent courts with permanent nets.
-Clubhouse: Enjoy our newly remodeled, air-conditioned clubhouse.
Additional Details:
-Balls: Franklin X Balls will be used for the tournament.
-Snacks and water will be provided.
-Parking is free!
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Refunds are available until September 16th. To ensure everyone has a great time, if you need to cancel after that date, we’d love your help finding a sub. If we can find one, we’ll gladly refund your fees. The $5.00 Swish Fee is not refundable after that date.
