Description

The game of pickleball has evolved so greatly in the Romanian community that it’s time for the first Romanian only pickleball tournament in Glendale, Arizona at The Pickleball Space where we will get together for some fun competition on 10 indoor courts!

Get your partner and come out for some competitive play on Saturday November 2nd. Doors open at 7 am. The first division will start at 7:30 am. This will be an all day tournament. Each division Women’s, Men’s and Men’s Advanced will have different start times and end times.

The tournament will start with a round robin pool play. Games for pool play will all be first team to 11 points takes the win with no time limit. Then based on your seed you will be placed into a single elimination bracket. Some teams will have a bye based on your seed in pool play and some may be eliminated and not advance into the single elimination bracket! The single elimination games will be up to 15 win by 2 all the way until finals. In the finals the teams playing for Gold, Silver and Bronze will play 2 out of 3 games up to 11 win by 2. There will be medal prizes for Gold Silver and Bronze winners!

On serve the ball can be dropped from any height but it must be dropped from an open palm without throwing, tossing or applying additional force. The serve has to be hit with an underhand stroke and the contact of the ball must be below the waist line.
