Pickle CF Charity Tournament – Event Overview
Thank you for stepping onto the court to help end cystic fibrosis (CF). Seriously—it needs to go.
This event isn’t just about pickleball. It’s about community, competition, and raising critical funds to fight CF. Together, we’ll rally for a cure, celebrate life, and have a lot of fun doing it.
About Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. This makes it hard to breathe and absorb nutrients, leading to frequent infections and lifelong health challenges.
Thanks to new treatments, people with CF are living longer, healthier lives—but there is still no cure.
Your participation helps move us closer to that cure. According to the CF Foundation, 90 cents of every dollar raised supports research, care, and education programs.
Tournament Format
Seven round-robin games guaranteed for every team.
If time allows, top teams advance to a single-elimination playoff for medals and bragging rights.
Costume-Friendly Competition
It’s close enough to Halloween to add some flair—so dress as your favorite pickleball player, or just bring your best game-day style. Costumes are welcome as long as they don’t block vision, movement, or another player’s swing.

Rules
Governing Rules – USA Pickleball (USAP) “Official Rulebook” applies unless otherwise stated below.
Scoring – Games to 11, win by 2. If the score reaches 13-13, the following point wins.
Eye Protection – Not mandatory but strongly recommended.
Costumes & Gear – Fun is welcome; obstruction is not. Tournament staff may ask you to remove or adjust anything that risks safety or fair play or includes political commentary. Keep it fun.
Sportsmanship – This is a charity event. Verbal abuse of officials, opponents, or volunteers is an immediate forfeit and may bar you from future events. Play hard, cheer louder, stay classy.

We know life—and sometimes the weather—happens. Here’s the straight talk on refunds:
When you cancel/Refund/Notes
14+ days before event 100% Minus third-party processing fees (if any).
7–13 days before: 50% (The other half still goes to CF research)
Less than 7 days: No cash refund. Your fee becomes a full-value tax-deductible donation.
Event canceled by organizer (e.g., severe weather or facility closure) 100%: Full refund or free transfer to rescheduled date—your choice.
Player substitutions are allowed up to 24 hours before the first serve—email the registrar with the new player’s name and contact info.
By registering, you agree to this policy and to sign the standard liability waiver at check-in. Thanks for understanding that keeping the charity’s mission front and center means locking in donations close to game day.
