Event Format & Divisions
This event includes two formats. Men's/Women's Doubles and an Offical MiLP (The Dink Minor League Pickleball @ Pickleball Kingdom) Players may register for both.
Registration Fees

$60 per person for Doubles

$65 per person for MiLP (The Dink Minor League Pickleball @ Pickleball Kingdom)
Men’s, Women’s & Mixed Doubles
- Division Placement: Add both players’ DUPR ratings
Example:
Player A (3.65) + Player B (3.30) = 6.95 combined rating → Register for DUPR 7
If you do not have a DUPR rating or only have a limited match history, please contact the Tournament Director for proper placement.
How to Register (Doubles)
- Combine Ratings — Add your rating + your partner’s rating
- Choose Your Division
- DUPR 7 → Avg. rating 3.0–4.0
- DUPR 7.5 → Avg. rating 3.25–4.25
- DUPR 8 → Avg. rating 3.5–4.5
- DUPR 8.5 → Avg. rating 3.75–4.75
If you do not have ratings, select the division that best reflects your current skill level and reach out to the Tournament Director if needed.

Tournament Details

Scoring Format: Standard scoring to 11, win by 2

Minimum Games:

Gender Doubles — at least 5 games per team

3 vs 3 — at least 6 games per team

Score Tracking: All game scores will be recorded in DUPR by Pickleball Charleston

Pool Placement: Teams are placed into pools based on their combined team rating (your rating + your partner’s rating)
Event Combining:
Divisions may be combined based on registration numbers to create competitive play. Teams may be moved from their originally selected division.
Our goal is to group teams within 0.5 rating points of one another to promote fair and competitive matches.
Bracket Formation

Initial Phase: Teams begin in a Round Robin format

Combined Skill Pairing: Skill levels may be mixed during Round Robin play

Combined Skill Level Division Split: After Round Robin results, teams will be separated into two brackets based on standings

Each bracket will have its own winners and medalists
Bracket Format
The final bracket format will be determined based on registration numbers and will be shared one week prior to the event.

Inclement Weather & Refund Policy
This is an indoor event. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, Pickleball Charleston (PBC) will make every reasonable effort to continue and complete scheduled matches.
If a bracket is in progress when an unforeseen circumstance occurs, the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine whether:

The bracket can be completed, or
-
Winners will be determined based on matches already played
Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued within two (2) weeks of the event

Refunds requested more than two (2) weeks prior to the event will be issued as:

Registration fee minus $10 administrative fee

Swish technology fees are nonrefundable

- Good sportsmanship is required, anything deemed poor sportsmanship by a member of PBC may warrent a disqualification from current event and/or suspension from future events.
