Description
The tournament will be hosted at Bay Club Broadway on 6 permanent indoor courts with outdoor surfaces. We will use Franklin X-40 balls for the tournament. You do not need to be a member of The Bay Club to participate. $65 for the first event, $15 for the second event. Bay Club members should contact TD for a discount code to get $15 off the first event. If you are interested, please sign up with TD via email first. I'll let you know when we have at least 3 teams to make the division a go, and then we can officially sign up on Swish. :)
Teams that have pre-signed up will show up in this document. Note: It's preferred that you sign up directly on Swish as that does encourage other teams to sign up as well.

These are DUPR rated matches. Tournament Director may move teams up or down in division in order to keep tournament play competitive. Specific start times will be firmed up within the week of the tournament date. Divisions will play on these days:
Saturday, July 11: Men's and Women's Doubles (3.5-4.5+), Mixed (2.5-3.5)
Sunday, July 12: Men's and Women's Doubles (2.5-3.5) Mixed (3.5-4.5)
Rules
3 games guaranteed in pool play, with top teams in pool play advancing to play-offs. Divisions with up to 7 teams will do round robin play with all teams in the pool. For divisions with 8+ teams, we will likely split into multiple pools. Play-offs and bronze medal matches will be a single game to 15, win by 2. The gold medal match will be best of 3, games to 11, win by 2. in pool play, with top teams in pool play advancing to play-offs. There is an initial limit of 8 teams per division for the tournament. The number of teams may be adjusted depending on the total number of teams participating. First games will start promptly at the listed start times. Please try to arrive 30 minutes ahead of time to check-in and warm up. During the tournament, warm-ups will be limited to 2 minutes prior to game start.
To start a match, follow standard conventions to determine who gets to call serve or side. Teams switch sides at 6 points for games to 11 and at 8 points for games to 15. Line calls are made by the team who is on the side that the ball lands on. If the two members of the team cannot agree on whether a ball was in/out, then the ball is considered in. If there is truly a disagreement over a line call, just replay the point.
One timeout is allowed per team per game. Each timeout should last no longer than 1 minute. As needed, medical timeouts can be taken. Team seeding for play-offs will be determined by 1) matches won, 2) head to head, 3) point differential. Matchups for each round and score-keeping will be done within the Swish app, so be sure to download the app to your phone and have that handy for the tournament!
Cancellation/Refund Policy
To receive a refund minus the $5 and change technology fee, cancellation must be received by the end of the day, 11:59pm local time, on July 4th. After July 4th, no refunds will be issued.
