2024 Highland Fling Inaugural Pickleball Tournament; July 29 - Aug 3 2024, at the new Mountain Ridge Pickleball Park, across from Mountain Ridge Junior High, in Highland.
Championship medals will be awarded for 1st - 3rd places in each division.
Cost:
Youth Coed Divisions age 8-17 registration fees are only $5
All other divisions are $25 per person per event

There will be a minimum of 4 teams required per division.
Each team will be guaranteed four scheduled games.

Rules
USAPA rules
All divisions will play with Franklin X-40 pickleballs
Levels 4.0+ will play with Onix Durafast 40 pickleballs
Playing on outdoor hard-court surfaces
NO PADDLE RESTRICTIONS.

We understand that the JOOLA Gen3 paddles have been a topic of debate, especially since they were initially approved and then later delisted from the USA Pickleball approved paddle list. Given this situation, we encourage players to consider not using the JOOLA Gen3 models, as their delisting may cause concern among other participants.
However, since this is not a sanctioned tournament and we lack the infrastructure to check every paddle for USAP approval or to test for specific criteria such as grit and deflection rates, we have decided not to single out any particular paddle brand or model for exclusion. It would be unfair to impose restrictions on one brand without the means to uniformly enforce such standards across all equipment.
We appreciate the concerns from both sides: those who own Gen3 paddles and wish to use them, and those who feel they should be excluded due to their delisting. We hope all participants will respect each other’s choices and understand our position on this matter. Our goal is to ensure a fair and enjoyable tournament for everyone involved.

This is an outdoor event. Every effort will be made to reschedule and communicate rain delays in a timely manner. No refunds will be offered in the event of cancelation.
