– Any division times are subject to change based on participant registration* Schedule will be released about 1-2 weeks prior to the tournament.
– Please allow 2.5-3.5 hours for your division to run from start to finish
– Participants will be emailed their division start time a few days before the tournament

Most divisions are set-partner Round Robin (play every team), or Rotating-Partner Round Robin (Switch partners each round) ensuring guarnateed games and minimal waiting time whether you win or lose. Additional medal rounds for Gold, Silver, and Bronze. There are no medal rounds for rotating partner Newbies/Junior divisions, but top 3 players will receive medals based on wins/losses then total points earned.
Divisions that have 4 or fewer teams will play a double round robin (play every team twice)
Prior to the tournament please complete the following:
Results will be uploaded to DUPR. Please join the “PUP” club on DUPR prior to the tournament.
1. Log in/Create a DUPR account https://dashboard.dupr.com/login

2. Verify your account through your email
3. Click the “Play” or “Clubs” tab/icon (on the left if on a Mac/PC or on the bottom right if on a mobile device)
4. Search “PUP” or “Point Up Pickleball”. Make sure the logo matches and the location says Orange County and click the club.
5. Click Join Club
Please download the Swish Sports app, create an account, and link your DUPR ID to your Swish profile before the tournament. You will need to log into the Swish app, go to your Swish profile, then connect your DUPR account to Swish by selecting "add/edit DUPR id" and logging into DUPR account through the Swish app. The Swish Sports App is where you will see who you are playing against, what court you are on, and where you will enter/verify your scores for each match. This will ensure a speedy upload to DUPR!

Rules
1. Divisions are DUPR ratings
- your team’s DUPR rating average will be calculated. If your team's average is higher than the division, you will be placed in the appropriate division.
- If you have never played in a DUPR rated event or do not have a rating, you can self rate yourself and enter the division(s) you see best fit you!
- Non-rated-2.99: Newbie, Beginner, Junior
- 3.0-3.49: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate
- 3.5-3.99: Intermediate
- 4.0+: Advanced
- Senior 55+: "Open" rated (any rating)
2. For age-related divisions, the participant must fall within the division age by Dec. 31st, 2026
3. The ball used is a Franklin X40 Yellow ball. Please DO NOT wear yellow clothing similar to the color of the ball
4. Game scoring
- Games are first to 11 points; win by 2 points
- Switch ends when the first team gets to 6 points
5. Time-Outs
- 1 minute break is allotted when switching ends
- Each team is allotted one 1-minute time out per match if they choose to take it
6. Inputting Scores
- Team 1 (the top team on Swish for that match) will to enter the score into Swish.
- Each team will verify the score on Swish by selecting "verify"
- Team 2 (the bottom team on Swish) from every game will bring a score card back to the check-in table. The score card should include Division, Date, All players First initial and last name, and score.
7. Medal Match Scoring
- Gold and Bronze medal matches are first to 15 points; win by 2 points
- Medal matches are dependent upon time availability and participant registrations
- 1st and 2nd place from every division will play for Gold/Silver
- 3rd and 4th place from every division will play for Bronze
- If there are only 3 people in your division 1st place will go straight to the Gold medal match. 2nd and 3rd place will go to a semi-final. The winner of the semi-final will play 1st place for Gold. The loser of the semi-final will be awarded a Bronze medal.

No refunds after 06/12/2026
If you are registered for an event that does not have enough participants, a PUP tournament director will reach out to you. You will be offered a full refund, credit towards another PUP event, or the option to play in the combined division and try your best.
Weather cancellation refunds: Full credit towards our next tournament OR a 50% refund.
No refunds for weather delays, but a credit to a future event will be considered depending on the weather delay.
Any Refunds/Credits are subject to a $5 Admin fee (includes Swish Fee and Stripe Fee)
