Rules

MLPlay Format: MLPlay format is an innovative team competition where teams compete
against each other in an engaging format, with twists on traditional match-ups and scoring for
games, matches, and tiebreakers.

Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MLPlayTM format:
● 4-Person Team Format (Coed Divisions):
β—‹ MLPlayTM is an innovative gameplay format that brings men and women together
on a level playing court.
β—‹ In the MLPlayTM format, team matches are composed of four 21-point games:
1. Women’s Doubles
2. Men’s Doubles
3. Mixed Doubles
4. Mixed Doubles
β—‹ Tiebreaker: If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games are played, they’ll go
to a DreambreakerTM!

1. In a DreambreakerTM, one person from each team plays singles against
the other team’s player, switching players every four rallies until someone
gets to 21 and wins by two points.
● 3-Person Team Format (Gender-Specific Divisions):
β—‹ Teams of three players compete in a best-of-three games format.
β—‹ Matches consist of:
1. Doubles
2. Doubles (rotating one player)
3. Doubles (rotating one player)
β—‹ No DreambreakerTM is used in this format; the team winning two out of three games secures the match victory
