Get ready to deck the courts with dinks and volleys! Third Shot Pickleball invites you to our first-ever MLP-style tournament, "Dinkmas in December." This isn't just a tournament; it's a holiday party on the court, filled with competitive play, festive fun, and a chance to claim your spot as the top team.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6, 2025. We're bringing the electrifying MLP team format to you, with co-ed teams of four competing in a festive showdown. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a rising star, gather your squad or sign up solo to be placed on a team of jolly good players.
Tournament Highlights:
- MLP Format: Compete as a team of 4 (2 men, 2 women) in a dynamic, fun format.
- Guaranteed Games: All teams are guaranteed at least 3 matches in our pool play round-robin.
- Playoff Showdown: The top teams from each pool will advance to a single-elimination bracket, where they'll battle it out for prizes. Experience the fast-paced, high-stakes excitement of the "Dreambreaker" to settle any tied playoff matches.
The holiday fun starts even before the first serve! Join us on Friday, December 5th for a "Mingle and Jingle" party. It's the perfect opportunity to socialize with other players, warm up on the courts, and get into the holiday spirit. We highly encourage you to wear your favorite holiday sweater for both the party and the tournament!
Pricing & Registration:
Team Entry: $260 per team ($65 per person)
Early Bird Pricing: $220 per team ($55 per person)
Divisions: Your team's DUPR scores will determine your division, ensuring competitive and balanced play. We have divisions for all skill levels, DUPR 14, DUPR 16, DUPR 18, & DUPR 20.

Rules
MLPlay™ is an innovative gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court. In the MLPlay format team matches are composed of four games, with the first two (2) games being women’s doubles or men’s doubles, and the final two (2) games consisting of mixed doubles. If teams are tied after the four (4) games, an innovative singles tiebreaker known as a DreamBreaker™ is played.
We will use a side out scoring system for the doubles format of MLP (e.g., Gender & Mixed). Games will be played to 11 points, with a winning margin of at least two points.
DreamBreakers will be played under MLP's fast-paced rally scoring format and played to 21 points, with players switching out every four (4) points. A freeze will remain at game point; the DreamBreaker must be won on serve.

DUPR Divisions
DUPR 18 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30)
**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 5.10 to play in DUPR 18
DUPR 16 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30)
**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.60 to play in DUPR 16
DUPR 14 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30)
**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.10 to play in DUPR 14
DUPR 12 (max aggregate 12.300)
*Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 3.60 to play in DUPR 12
Once a team registers for a Minor League Pickleball event, their ratings are “locked” and their DUPR increasing or decreasing will not impact the team’s aggregate or division placement.
To sign up for the event, a DUPR account is required at the time of registration. Not rated players can play; however, their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellation Deadline:
To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee, cancellation must be received by 11:59pm local time on Sunday November 16th, 2025. After November 17th, 2025, no refunds will be issued.
