DOUBLES FORMAT:

1. Tournament Details:
- Scoring Format: Rally (You have to score on your serve to win)
- Minimum Games: Each team will be scheduled for at least 5 games.
- Score Tracking: Pickleball Charleston will record All game scores in DUPR.
- Based on Ratings: Teams are placed into pools based on their combined team rating (your rating + your partner’s rating).
- Event Combining: Depending on the number of teams:
- Divisions may be combined based on skill level or age to ensure a better playing experience.

2. Bracket Formation:
- Initial Setup: Teams will first compete in a Round Robin format.
- Skill Level Adjustments: Skill levels might be mixed during the Round Robin. After this phase, teams will be split into two separate brackets based on their Round Robin standings.
- Separate Brackets: Each bracket will have its own winners and medalists.

3. Bracket Format:
The specific format for each bracket will be determined based on the number of teams and will be provided a week before the event.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
This is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs PBC will do all it can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.
