Description
The tournament benefits charity and is championed by Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, and Doug Baldwin. Both Cliff and Mike will be joining us in person in Spokane for a fun event benefitting charity, and there will be a special VIP clinic and meet and greet with Cliff and Mike from 12:30pm-2:00pm. There will also be additional photo opportunities in between morning matches.
⏰ Start times will be announced the week prior based on number of entries.
🍺 Each player registration includes a food voucher, a drink ticket, and two free spectator tickets.
🎁 Prizes for best team name and team spirit/outfit!
🎽 Coordinating outfits is not required but highly encouraged!
Rules
This event is sponsored by the Selkirk Pro S1 Pickleball.
FORMAT:
6 game guarantee per player! Games to 21. Rally scoring. Win by 1. Teams of 4 will compete in matches that are best of 5 games. Round Robin matches will be followed by a playoff.
Match games will be Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, then two Mixed Doubles games with each teammate playing in 2 of the 4 games in a match (in DUPR 12, the matches are all coed so each teammate will play in 2 of the 4 games). If tied 2-2, the match will be decided in a Singles Tiebreaker where all 4 players rotate every 4 rallies until a team reaches 21 points.
TEAMS/DIVISIONS:
Divisions are based on the team aggregate rating from DUPR.com. Players without a DUPR rating will be given the average rating of their division (DUPR 12 = 3.0, DUPR 14 = 3.5, etc).
DUPR Divisions 14, 16, 18, & 20 will be teams of 2 men and 2 women.
DUPR Division 12 will be coed.
Maximum Team & Individual DUPR per division:
DUPR 20 (5.0 avg.) — Team aggregate DUPR max: 20.999 — Individual max: None
DUPR 18 (4.5 avg.)— Team aggregate DUPR max: 18.399 — Individual max: 5.099
DUPR 16 (4.0 avg.) — Team aggregate DUPR max: 16.399 — Individual max: 4.599
DUPR 14 (3.5 avg.) — Team aggregate DUPR max: 14.399 — Individual max: 4.099
DUPR 12 (3.0 avg.) — Team aggregate DUPR max: 12.399 — Individual max: 3.599
Individual DUPR ratings are locked at the time of registration. A free account from DUPR.com is required to register. Unrated players will have their estimated rating verified by tournament directors.
If you want to play in the event but are unable to form a team, the tournament director will do their best to place you on a team. You can also add your name below the division in the 'Looking for Partners' section on the 'Players' tab to indicate your interest/availability.
SUBSTITUTE PLAYERS:
Substitutes must be within the DUPR team and individual rating limits. If a player requires a sub during the event, the sub must finish the event and the original player may not return.
SPECTATOR TICKETS:
Viewing space is limited! Buy your spectator ticket in advance for $15 or pay $20 at the door. Teams will each receive 8 free guest list spots. Email the tournament director the names of your team's guests before May 10th.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellation Deadline:
To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee, cancellation must be received by the end of day 15 days prior to the event. After 11:59 pm May 2, 2025, no refunds will be issued.
Individual Registration Refund Policy:
Individual Registrations are not guaranteed placement in a team. Players that sign up as an individual and are not placed in a team, will receive a full refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee 3-5 business days after the event ends.
All cancellations have the option to donate 100% of their refund to the Champions of Change charity cause.
