2nd Annual Cateechee Classic

Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM with some starting times as late as 3:00 PM. Specific start times will be emailed to players approximately one week prior to the competition.

Format is a Round Robin
Brackets of 3 Teams: Double Round Robin. Each match will be one game to 15 win by 1. No medal round
Brackets of 4 Teams: Double Round Robin. Each match will be one game to 15 win by 1. No medal round
Brackets of 5 Teams: Round Robin. Each match will be one game to 15 win by 1. Medal round top 4 teams.
Brackets of 6 or more Teams: Round Robin. Each match will be one game to 11 win by 1. Medal round top 4 teams.

As registration proceeds, the tournament director reserves the option to combine brackets as needed. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the combined bracket. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills.

Age groups will be added/removed as dictated by registration with the intent to keep brackets at a maximum of 8 teams and a goal to provide at least 5 games for each team entered.

Skill levels are 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5
Age groups are 18+, 50+, 60+ and 70+

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 4/31/2024.

RATINGS
Players with a UTPR or DUPR that is higher than the bracket registered for may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

Matches are self-monitored. The director will be on site and available if requested.
