2nd Annual Burned Children’s Fund Tournament Presented by Pickleball Charleston

This event is a fundraiser for the South Carolina Firefighters Burned Children’s Fund, a charitable organization operating under the South Carolina Firefighters Foundation. A portion of every registration directly supports this incredible cause and helps provide care and resources to children and families affected by burn injuries.

Registration
Participants may register for up to two events — $65 for the first event and $35 for the second.

Rotating Partner Format

Players register as individuals and are grouped based on their DUPR rating. Play consists of a Round Robin, and partners rotate after every round. The player with the most wins is the event winner.  Formats will NOT overlap, therefore you may register for multiple formats.

• Mixed Doubles — You will rotate partners, and all matchups will be Mixed Doubles.

• Women’s Doubles — You will rotate partners, and all matchups will be Women’s Doubles.

• Men's Doubles — You will rotate partners, and all matchups will be Women’s Doubles.

• King of the Court  - Courts will be organized from highest DUPR to lowest. Games are played to 11, win by 1. After each game: • Winners move up a court and split • Losers move down a court and split. This is a fun, open-play format — scores will NOT be submitted to DUPR.

Each player is scheduled for a minimum of 7 games.

If You Do Not Have a Rating

• Register for the division that best reflects your current skill level.

• If your rating is inaccurate due to a limited match history, please contact the Tournament Director for appropriate placement.

Tournament Details

• Scoring: Standard scoring to 11, win by 2

• Minimum Play: Each player will receive at least 7 games

• Score Reporting: All scores will be recorded in DUPR by Pickleball Charleston

• Combining Divisions:
  Divisions may be combined to ensure competitive play.

  • Brackets will be structured to keep players within 0.5 DUPR whenever possible.

  • You may be moved from your originally selected division if necessary.
