Description
3v3 Team Pickleball is a unique team experience that requires two men and one woman to form a team of three.
Men's doubles play first followed by two mixed doubles matches. Once the men are done, the losing team declares their mixed lineup first and the winners respond.
No tie breakers are needed as the outcome is settled at the end of the match.
Games are played to 11/15 points and sides are switched when one team reaches 6/8 points. All games are “won by one,” or whichever team earns 11/15 points first. This eliminates any chance of a team advancing by having more points or more games/matches played by way of tie breaks.
DUPRs 9, 12, and 15 expected to play on Saturday. DUPRs 10.5 and 13.5 expected to play on Sunday. Firm dates to be set within two weeks of tourney weekend.
Update 7/21: Looks like we will have enough teams for DUPR 12 on Saturday and likely DUPR 13.5 on Sunday. Start times will likely be at 9am.
Official ball: Franklin X 40

Rules
Team name required upon registration. Two men and one woman makeup your team.
Sides will be switched at 6 if games are to 11 or at 8 if games are played to 15.
The coin toss can be any method agreed upon by team players. Once the teams have decided who serves and who receives, the game will start. The team that chose serve keeps serve throughout their match ups. The first mixed match starts where the serving team finished. This follows through the next and final mixed match.
Skill qualification: Individual DUPR can be up to 0.6 above the baseline DUPR. Example: Players that register for our 9.0 division cannot exceed 3.6 for their individual DUPR. Team DUPRs can go over the baseline by 0.3. For example, the max a team DUPR can be for the 9.0 division is 9.3.
In order to register, players are required to create an account with DUPR.
Time Out: Each team has a one-minute time out per game. One additional minute is available for both teams when switching sides.
In the case of a tie between teams at the conclusion of the round-robin, the following will be tallied to determine who moves on to the medal matches-Wins first, total points second, then head to head. If needed, point differential will also be considered.
Off the court, teammates cannot assist with line calls or signal to teammates on the court. One point will be deducted after being warned.
Let serves are good after clipping the top of the net if they land in the designated quadrant. If any service touches the encompassing no volley zone lines, that serve is a fault and serve possession is lost.
Balls that catch the top of the net and drip down hitting a saggy net, or metal cross members will be replayed. Only the team on the side where the ball bounces makes the call. To reduce disagreements, players must consult with their partners on all calls.
Only USA Pickleball approved paddles are allowed for the tournaments. Only proper non marking shoes with laces are approved for tournament play.
