Format: Team Pickleball
Price: $70.00 / Player (must register and pay as a team)
Description
Club vs Club for Ultimate Bragging Rights!
Open to:
Official Pickleball Venues/Facilities (i.e. Los Cab, Bobby Riggs, The Hub)
Community Clubs (Mackenzie Park, Allendale Park)
Certified Coaches' Teams (Miller Pickleball Training, Mission Pickleball Academy)
Organized Pickleball Groups (La Brea Pickleball Club, Inland Empire Bombers)
Note: We will separate these groups into separate brackets pending registration numbers.
MLP Team Tournament format – Round Robin with playoffs/medal rounds
Medals down to 4th place at each event!
Surface Type: Dedicated Pickleball Sport Court
Play Area Type: Outdoor Non-Covered
Net Type: 8 permanent, 4 portable
Ball Used: Gearbox
Number of Courts: 12
Rules
2 Men and 2 Ladies per team, divisions based
on total combined DUPR scores.
Ex. - For the DUPR 14 division, the total of
all 4 team members’ DUPR scores cannot
exceed 14.30.
Single Round Robin then Playoffs
Each 4 member team plays every other 4 member team
in their division once. Top 4 teams make semi finals.
Winners move to Gold medal match, Losers move
on to Bronze medal match.
Match Format - MLP Style
Rally scoring to 21.
Four Doubles matches (no repeat doubles partners)
If tied 2-2 at the end of 4 matches, move on to Singles
Dreambreaker (tiebreaker). Skinny Singles Option for 50+ Divisions DUPR 16 and below.
Each player plays singles for 4 points until one team
reaches 21 (win by two in playoffs)
Medals to 4th place, prizes and awards TBD!
Classes/brackets may be combined at tournament director’s discretion without notice.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Refunds are ONLY available for:
– Events that do not proceed due to insufficient numbers
– Withdrawals more than 14 days before the start of the tournament weekend. Players will choose to receive a full refund or credit to another APBA event
Withdrawals due to medical reasons with a doctor’s certificate will receive a credit towards a future event ONLY.
Withdrawals within 7-14 days before the start of the tournament weekend will receive full credit to another APBA event.
Withdrawals within 7-days before the start of the tournament weekend will NOT receive a credit or refund.
There are no refunds due to heat and/or other weather events or match delays or cancelations. However, a credit would be considered for another APBA event
If you are registered for an event that does not have enough participants, events may be combined at tournament director’s discretion. If a class still cannot be formed by combining participants, an APBA tournament director will reach out to you. You will be offered a full refund or credit towards a future event.
Any Refunds/Credits will be less service and processing fees.
