Description
Fundraiser Doubles Pickleball Tournament
Hosted by: The Ankeny Christian Academy Education Foundation, supporting Ankeny Christian Academy (ACA), located at 1604 West First Street, Ankeny
This tournament is a fund-raiser to support ACA. We are thankful for the court sponsors who have generously donated to cover the rental cost of the courts for this event, so that proceeds from the registration fee can go directly to supporting the school.
Location: Polk County Pickleball indoor facility: 2222 SW Vintage Pkwy, Ankeny, Iowa
Date/Time: Saturday, June 13, 2026: 3:00 – 9:00 pm
Check in begins at 3:00 PM, warm up available after check-in, tournament play begins promptly at 4:00. Estimated end time: 9:00 pm (may vary depending on number of entries)
Five Divisions of play:

Ages 14-18, all skill levels

Ages 19-49, Recreational

Ages 19-49, Competitive

Ages 50+, Recreational

Recreational: Beginner to intermediate players (approximately 2.5 - 3.25 skill level)
Competitive: Intermediate to advanced players (approximately 3.25 + skill level)
Note: “Recreational” and “Competitive” are provided as general guidelines to help players choose the most appropriate division.
Ages: If you are at the age OR will turn the age of the division, you would be eligible to play in that age bracket. For example, if you are 13, but will turn 14 in 2026, you could play in that age bracket. The same holds true for all age brackets.
Please note that you may only play in one division.
Registration
Cost: $50 per player ($100 per team) — each participant can register online using the QR code or the link below, where you will indicate your choice of division of play above and your partner’s name. Players must have a partner in order to complete registration. If you do not have a partner, please add your name to the “Looking for Partners” list to connect with others before registering. Please note that if you are 50+, but would like to play down in age to the 19–49 category, you may do so (this may encourage some parent/child or similar combinations).
Registration Deadline: Midnight on Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each division.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive plush large towels supplied by P & M Apparel.
Winners will also be invited to take photos on the podium.
Raffles and Giveaways
Throughout the tournament we will be holding raffles and giveaways including:
Polk County Pickleball apparel and caps
Pickleball paddles and other prizes
Food
Food will be available for purchase during the tournament. Vendor to be announced.
Rules
Tournament Format
The format will depend upon the number of entries in each division but will likely include:
Pool play followed by bracket play
Double elimination
Doubles Tournament
Select your partner (could be men’s, women’s, or mixed) and be prepared to have fun supporting a good cause! (Please note you could be playing on and/or against any combination of men’s, women’s or mixed teams within your division.)
All matches will follow USA Pickleball rules
