The Ultimate Team Battle Meets Festival Energy - 4 vs 4 Under Armour Championship Team Series: Coronado, San Diego Queen and Kings of the Court
🏆 Sanctioned Minor League Event = Qualify for $100K Nationals in Dallas. All players earned entry to play the 3V3 national championship in December. You must play in this qualifier event to be on a team for 3v3 MilP Nationals win or lose your earn a spot.
40 by 30 Champions Team Pickleball has teamed up with Under Amour, IPN Pickleball and MiLP to bring this Championship Series. This event is all gender MLP Team event. Women" Queens" teams of 4 players will battle each other on day one, While Men " Kings will close out Championship Sunday.
MLP Style Format
Team matches are composed of four 21-point games, rally scoring. You must win by 2 and win on your serve. The away team sets their lineup first and the lineup is the same for the four games in that match.If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games are played, they’ll go to a tiebreaker " Dreambreaker" where one person from each team plays singles against the other team’s player, switching players every 4 rallies until someone gets to 21 and wins by two points. The home team will set their lineup first for the tiebreaker.
COIN TOSS
At the start of each match, there will be a coin toss (or similar random selection). The winner will make a choice between these three options:
● Choose to be either the Home or the Away team
● Choose to start each game serving or receiving (if you choose serve, your team will serve first throughout the match including the tiebreaker if needed)
● Choose which end of the court to start.
After the winner makes a choice, the loser will make a choice between the two
remaining options. After the loser makes their choice, the winner will make a decision on the last option available.
The player order will be decided at each match coin flip with Home team reacting to visitor player selection. The games for each match will be played in the following order: Keep it Simple You cant play with the same player twice. Example👇

Team A player 3 & 4 vs Team B Player 3 & 4
Team A player 1 & 3 vs Team B player 1 & 3
Team A player 2 & 4 vs Team B player 2 & 4
Format Structure
3 Teams - Double round robin- No play-off top 3 teams metal
4 Teams - Double round robin- No play-off top 3 teams metal
5 Teams - Single round robin- with play-off- Top 2 play for 1 and 2nd, others play for 3rd & 4th. 5th place team goes home.
6 Teams - 3 matches of pool play- top 4 team semi and finals play off
7 Teams- NO 7 team brackets. Last team in will be dropped or moved to a different division. Full refund
8 Teams are divided into 2 pools of four teams- the top two teams from each pool advance to the semi-finals and play in a single elimination round to the finals. This is the ideal bracket for this format.
10 Teams with play-off- Top 2 play for 1 and 2nd, others play for 3rd & 4th
12 Teams are divided into 3 pools of four teams- the top two teams from each pool advance to the semi-finals and play in a single elimination round to the finals and the best 2 teams have a bye into the semi. This is the ideal bracket for this format.
To sign up, a DUPR account is required at the time of registration. Player Registration:
PLAYERS USE NAME AS LISTED ON YOUR DUPR ACCOUNT- Teams are not confirmed until all 4 players are paid in full- Captains may sign up the team- The first team on the waitlist, is next in!
When adding your DUPR to registration only use 1 decimal point. I.e 4.6, 3.4. No need to use 4.677 or 3.452
Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund less $8, cancellation must be received by the end of the day on July 10th.
Substitute Players: A team that needs a player substitute must submit the substitute to the tournament director. The substitute player’s DUPR may not cause the established team’s aggregate to go over the max event’s aggregate.
Single Registrations: If you want to play in the Team event but cannot form a team, the tournament director will do their best to place you on a team. For players that are not placed, thus not playing the event, their registration fees will be refunded less $8.

Rules
How to Create a Team:
DUPR Rating System: Use only one number after the decimal when calculating team/ player ratings (i.e, 4.567 = 4.5).
Team Aggregates: The best way to understand the DUPR division is think of DUPR 14 as 3.5 skill and 16=4.0 skill. You play the division based on the total DUPR rating of all 4 players But together you can go over .5 .
DUPR 14 and 14 50+: Max team rating = 14.5 (max individual rating = 4.2)
DUPR 16 and 16 50+: Max team rating = 16.5 (max individual rating = 4.6)
DUPR 18: Max team rating = 18.5 (max individual rating = 5.2)
