Rules

Tournament Format: Set Partner Pool Play followed by Single Elimination Playoffs

SCORING

• All matches are played to 11 points

• Points can only be scored by the serving team

• If the receiving team wins the rally, they earn the serve but do not score a point

• Win by 1 point rule applies — if both teams reach game point (10-10), the next point wins the match. There is no win by 2.

• The server must call the score before each serve (serving team score first, receiving team score second)

SERVE RULES

• The serve must be made underhand with contact below the waist

• The serve must land in the diagonal service court

• One serve attempt per rotation (no second serve)

KITCHEN RULES (NON-VOLLEY ZONE)

• Players may not volley the ball while standing in the kitchen or on the kitchen line

• A player may enter the kitchen to play a ball that has bounced

• Both feet must be completely outside the kitchen before volleying

DOUBLE BOUNCE RULE

• After the serve, both teams must let the ball bounce once before volleying (one bounce on each side)

• After the two-bounce rule is satisfied, either team may volley or play off the bounce

POOL PLAY (GROUP STAGE)

• Each team will play every other team in their pool

• Standings are determined by: (1) Win/Loss record, (2) Point differential, (3) Head-to-head result

• Top teams from each pool advance to the Single Elimination Playoffs based on division size

• Win by 1 point rule applies at game point during pool play

SINGLE ELIMINATION PLAYOFFS

• Teams that advance from Pool Play enter a Single Elimination bracket

• One loss eliminates a team from the tournament

• All playoff matches are played to 11 points

• Win by 1 point rule applies at game point in all playoff rounds including the final

GENERAL RULES

• Teams are responsible for calling their own lines honestly and respectfully

• Disputed calls result in a replay of the point

• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a warning, point penalty, or disqualification at the discretion of tournament staff

• All players must check in at least 30 minutes before their first scheduled match

• Late arrivals may result in a forfeit at tournament staff discretion

• USA Pickleball Official Rulebook governs any situation not covered above

EQUIPMENT

• Any USA Pickleball approved paddle is permitted

• Outdoor pickleballs will be provided by the tournament

• Appropriate athletic attire and non-marking court shoes required
