Tournament Format Overview The tournament is structured to ensure fairness and competitiveness, grouping participants by skill (using DUPR ratings) and age (minimum 60/65 years old or turning 60/65 within the tournament year). This approach aims to create a rewarding experience for all players. Group Allocation • Players are grouped according to their DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) level, so matches are between participants of similar ability. Each group consist of six matches played at 20 minute intervals group will be concluded in a four hour time slot. Entry Requirements • All participants must be at least 60/65 years old or celebrating their 60th/65th birthday in the same calendar year as the tournament. Match Format • Each group match is a single game played to 11 points. • The winner is the first player or team to reach 11 points—there’s no requirement to win by more than one point (“win by 1”). • The winning team receives 3 points, and the losing team receives 1 point. Medal Awards: The three highest-scoring pairs will receive medals: • Gold: Awarded to the pair with the highest total points. • Silver: Awarded to the pair with the second highest total points. • Bronze: Awarded to the pair with the third highest total points. • Tiebreaker: • In the event that two or more pairs are tied on points, the tie will be resolved by applying the points difference (the total points scored minus the total points conceded across all matches).The pair with the greater points difference will be ranked higher. 2026 Tour Ranking points Every pairing in each division will receive UKSPBA 2026 Tour Ranking points in increments of 2 points for example the bottom team in a 24 team division will receive 2 points and the top team 48 points, at the end of the 2026 Tour the pairs with the highest total in each division will win a week’s pickleball holiday in Europe in 2027 including flights.
