Rally for Rare – A Team Tournament for IDefine
Join us on Rare Disease Day for a high-energy, MiLP-style team tournament at PinPoint Indoor Pickleball & Golf. We are rallying to fund life-changing research for IDefine, supporting children like Adelind who are living with Kleefstra Syndrome.
The Format

MiLP-Style Teams: Teams of 4 players register and pay together. Each "Team Match" includes a Women’s/Non-binary Doubles game, a Men’s/Open Doubles game, and a Mixed Doubles game. Want to play but need help finding a team? Email [email protected]

Inclusive Composition: Teams are typically 2 men and 2 women, but we welcome teams with more women or non-binary players. To maintain fairness, teams are limited to a maximum of 2 men.

Skill Divisions: Choose Competitive (3.5 & Above) or Recreational (Under 3.5). If you are "on the bubble," please play up!

The Fundraising Challenge The heart of this event is the Fundraising Leaderboard. Beyond on-court medals, we will crown a "Fundraising Champion" team. We're asking each team to consider raising $1,000 or more to fund critical research. Start your team page here! (It only takes 5 minutes.)
Rules

Lineups: Captains will designate players for each slot. Teams with more than 2 women or non-binary players will assign players to the "Men’s/Open" slot.

Scoring: Rally Scoring to 21 (win by 2). A point is awarded on every rally, regardless of who served. "Dreambreakers" will only be played in the Semi-final and Final Rounds if teams are tied.

Timed Matches: Matches are strictly capped at 70 minutes. If time is called mid-game, the leading score at that moment stands as the final result.

Playoff Seeding: The top 2 teams from each pool advance. Tie-breakers are: (1) Match Wins, (2) Game Differential, (3) Point Differential.

Equipment: Only tournament-provided balls may be used for match play.
- Note: The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the event format, schedule, division assignments, or scoring rules as necessary to ensure a fair, safe, and high-quality experience for all participants.
Cancellation/Refund Policy

No Refunds – Charity Donation: All registration fees are non-refundable donations to IDefine. You may transfer your registration to another team until February 20, 2026.

Weather/Venue: As an indoor event, we play rain or shine. In the event of a total venue closure, we will attempt to reschedule; if impossible, fees remain a tax-deductible donation.
- T-shirt sizes can be selected until Feb 13. Registrations after that date will receive choice of size as allowed by available inventory.
