One Love Arizona & Vegan Social Pickleball Club's (VSPC) Pickleball for Pitties is a team-based pickleball competition where teams of four players (two men, two women) compete in a series of matches, including men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The tournament will benefit One Love Arizona Rescue Organization. One Love sparks brighter futures for people and pets through innovative, rehabilitative, and life-saving programs—supporting shelter dogs, owned pets, and the humans who care for them.

Individual participants in the top 3 spots per division will receive prizes generously donated by our sponsors, CRUSH Sports, Mom3nt Athletic Club, Stack Athletics, Rizz Pickleball, Proton Sports, Tennis & Pickleball Cabana, and more!

Pickleball for Pitties is an exciting team competition where teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) compete against each other in an engaging format, with twists on traditional match-ups and scoring for games, matches, and tiebreakers. Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MLPlay™ format with a few adjustments for this tournament:

This format combines competitive play with team-based collaboration across multiple skill levels, where players represent local or regional teams and compete in organized matchups that emphasize both individual performance and collective results. It promotes community engagement and structured league play through rotating partnerships, balanced participation, and cumulative scoring that determines overall team standings. Designed to foster fair play and enjoyment for all abilities, this style often follows a season-based structure culminating in playoffs or championship rounds.

DUPR DIVISIONS

**DUPR 12 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30)

Maximum individual player DUPR may not exceed 3.60 to play in DUPR 12

**DUPR 14 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30)

**DUPR 16 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30)

Once a team registers for a VSPC event, their DUPR ratings are “locked” and their DUPR increasing or decreasing will not impact the team’s aggregate or division placement.

To sign up for any VSPC tournament, a DUPR account is required at the time of registration. If a player is not rated, they may still play; however, their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.

Rules

Teams are placed into divisions based on their combined skill ratings to ensure balanced competition. Each division has a maximum team total and an individual player limit, promoting fair and evenly matched play. Once registration is complete, team ratings are locked for the duration of the event, and any subsequent changes will not affect placement. All players must have an active rating account when registering, though those without an official rating may still participate using an estimated rating confirmed by the tournament director. Selkirk balls will be provided by event organizer.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

No refunds. A $10 fee applies for changes to registration information or partner.
