Rules
FORMAT:
We will run this tournament in a team round robin fashion.
The number of games will be determined by the number of teams registered.
For example: If there are 9 teams in your bracket, you will play each team once to 11, win by 2. Then the top 4 teams will be determined by number of wins and ties will be resolved head to head. Those teams will play in the gold medal matches with the 1st team playing the 4th team, and the 2nd team playing the 3rd team. For the play-offs, teams will play best 2 out of 3 games to 15 points, win by 2. The winners of those two matches will play each other for 1st and 2nd place. Again, they will play best 2 out of 3 matches to 15, win by 2. The losers of both matches will play for 3rd place in the same manner. There will be prizes for the 1st and 2nd place winners.
If there are only 4 teams in your division, you will play each team up to 3 times or best 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2. Then all teams will go to the play-off matches in the same manner described above.
SWISH TOURNAMENT PLATFORM:
With the Swish Tournament platform, you will be able to see your schedule right from your phone and enter your scores immediately following your matches. This is a terrific feature that we are really excited about because you will be able to see your standings in real time. The scores also populate into DUPR right away so you won't need to wait several weeks to see your matches appear in your DUPR app.
SPORTSMANSHIP:
Please remember to be respectful and considerate of all teams. Please do not engage in distracting, loud or unsportsmanlike behavior. This also applies to any guests, friends, or spectators who are coming to watch you play. Please be advised that anyone participating in unsportsmanlike towards another team, from yourself, your partner or anyone associated with you, may be asked to leave and your team may be asked to forfeit without refund.
MATCH BALL or SERVE/RECEIVE:
Our match ball will be either the Onix Orange Indoor Ball or the Penn Bright Red. Players will roll the dice to determine either the Match Ball or whether they want to Serve or Receive. Low is 1-3, High is 4-6. The winner can choose either the match ball or whether they'd like to Serve or Receive. Then the the other team will choose whatever remains.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Refund request must be submitted two weeks prior to tournament start date.
