Description
NextStep at Endeavor Academy and Marianna Pickleball are hosting the 2nd Annual NextStep Smash Pickleball Tournament on September 26, 2026 at Gilmore Academy in Marianna, FL. Our goal is to increase acceptance of autistic individuals in the workplace and awareness of NextStep's programs while we generate funds to help with our capital building expenses. Our students are employed or attend college in Marianna and Tallahassee while also completing classes on our campus during their two-year course of study with NextStep.
This tournament of 4 separate divisions will provide a fun day of competitive games. Tournament tees will be given to the first 40 entrants.
Join us in playing the fastest growing sport in the country as we raise funds to increase acceptance of those with autism.
Rules
Four Divisions
8 am -Ladies Doubles - 8 teams, 16 players
Each team will play every team in the division, for a total of 7 games per team. Games will be timed for 9 minutes. Medals will be awarded based on points to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. In the event of a tie in points, wins and losses will be considered. One person from the team must register and pay for both players. Email and t-shirt sizes will be needed at the time of registration.
11 am - Men's Doubles - 8 teams, 16 players
Each team will play every team in the division for a total of 7 games per team. Games will be timed for 9 minutes. Medals will be awarded based on points to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. In the event of a tie in points, wins and losses will be considered. One person from the team must register and pay for both players. Email and t-shirt sizes will be needed at the time of registration.
2 pm - Rotating Partner Round Robin - 8 players - Mixed Gender
Each player will play every other player in the division for a total of 7 games. Games will be played to 11 points, winning by 2 points. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3 place players based on points. In the event of a tie, wins and losses will be considered.
2 pm - 3x3 Team - 4 teams of 3 players per team - Mixed Gender Required
A match will consist of 3 games to ensure every player partners with every teammate. For example:
- Game 1 - Player A + Player B
- Game 2 - Player A + Player C
- Game 3 - Player B + Player C
Each team must be comprised of either 2 ladies and 1 man or 2 men and one lady. Each team will have a match with every other team for a total of 9 games. Games will be played to 11 points, winning by 2 points. Medals will be awarded to the 1st place team based on points. In the event of a tie, wins and losses will be considered. One person from the team must register and pay for all players. Email and t-shirt sizes will be needed at the time of registration.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations with refund are not allowed after 09/14/2026.
