Event Overview
This isn’t just another tournament, it’s your chance to represent LA!
The “Play for LA” MiLP Qualifier is part of a five-event series taking place from March-May 2026 across Southern California. Division champions from each qualifier advance to the Mad Drops Finals.
Winners from the Finals will earn official MiLP roster spots and the opportunity to represent the Los Angeles Mad Drops at national MiLP events.

Step 1: Click the registration link for the qualifier you’d like to attend. This will take you to the Swish registration platform. Once there, click on the “Players” tab.
Step 2: Scroll down to find the DUPR division you want to enter. Click “Looking for a Partner.”
Step 3: Enter your information so other players who are also looking for partners can contact you.

Best â…— wins the match
Game 1 - Women's Doubles.
One game to 21 (rally scoring) Switch sides at 11
Game 2 - Men’s Doubles
One game to 21 (rally scoring) Switch sides at 11
Game 3 - Mixed Doubles 1
One game to 21 (rally scoring) Switch sides at 11
Game 4 (if needed) Mixed Doubles 2
One game to 21 (rally scoring) Switch sides at 11
If series is tied 2-2 it goes to what is called a "dreambreaker"
What’s a Dreambreaker

Switch sides at 11
4 teams division: double round robin (or single RR + finals)
6 teams division: single round robin- top 2/4 playoffs
8-10 teams division: split into 2 pools, then bracket/playoffs
During bracket play, teams can opt out of playing the 4th game if one team has won the match with 3 consecutive game wins.
DUPR Divisions:
DUPR 22 (team total 22.999)
DUPR 20 (team total 20.300 or 20.999)
DUPR 18 and 18 50+ (team total 18.300)
Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 5.10 to play in DUPR 18
DUPR 16 and 16 50+ (team total 16.300)
Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.60 to play in DUPR 16
DUPR 14 and 14 50+ (team total 14.300)
Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.10 to play in DUPR 14
DUPR 12 and 12 50+ (team total 12.300)
Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 3.60 to play in DUPR 12
NR (Not Rated) Assignments:
DUPR 12: 3.0
DUPR 14: 3.5
DUPR 16: 4.0
DUPR 18: 4.5
DUPR 20: 5.0
Format Review
1 timeout per game, per team, in addition to the end-change timeout. Timeouts are ONLY ONE MINUTE LONG.
Once a match starts, there is ONLY TWO minutes in between all games. This means, once the women’s doubles game ends, the men’s doubles game must start in TWO minutes. Subsequently, once the men’s doubles game ends, the first mixed game must start in TWO minutes, and so on. No additional warm-up times are allotted.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Refunds cannot be issued once the registration deadline has passed. This policy helps ensure fairness for all participants and allows us to effectively plan and deliver a high-quality event.
